Biafra: Whatever Dr. Ekwueme Tells Me To Do In Order To Enhance the Struggle, I will do it--Nnamdi Kanu

May 10, 2017

Former Vice President, Chief Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Wednesday, assured of his fatherly support to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Ekwueme made the pledge when the IPOB leader visited him at his Enugu residence, with a promise that he would listen to advice from the elder statesman.

Kanu has since he was released being paying thank-you visit to prominent persons and organizations, with a vow that he would never give up on Biafra.

He had told Ekwueme that “I have come to tell you that we find you invaluable in our advancement of our people and in our course also to make life better for the public and for the masses.

“So, I am humbled and delighted to be here and also to bring you up to speed as to what we have been doing, what motivated me; what motivated the IPOB to do what we have been doing.

“It is more or less today an expression, a political expression to the yearnings and aspirations of the society; that’s what we are trying to do.

“The sum total of the struggle by the IPOB, which I’m leading is to ensure that there is dignity of life.

“And for us to fulfill that very mandate, we must be diligent, we must be focused, we must be sincere.

“So, I have come here to brief my father as to why we‎ do what we do and to get his blessings; anything he tells me is what we are going to do, in so far as it advances our political course as a people.”

Responding, Ekwueme said it was a pleasure receiving the IPOB leader after all his travails, stressing “I thank God that he is free and able to move around.”

“I will make my best counsel available to him in his very onerous task of leading an organization that is committed to bringing justice and equity among people, especially for our people”, he added.

DAILY POST recalls that the IPOB leader had on Monday visited several persons and groups in Enugu, including the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA.

The former Vice President, Ekwueme, is a patron of the ‎ECA.

  1. In as much as most Igbos love Chief Alex Ekwueme, former Vice President of the federal republic of Nigeria, we do not want restructuring or even political solution. All we want is to restore Biafra nation. We want our freedom from the murderous Fulani Islamic sharia republic of Nigeria. Haven't we suffered and died enough in Nigeria? Today, most Igbos are captives in foreign lands. That's called captivity. And those that remain in Nigeria are in bondage and enslaved. Soon, they will be Islamized. It’s time to be free brethren. No politics and no restructuring.

  4. The worse nigeria did is to kill Biafrans and the worse they can do is to continue killing us all in order to maintain unworkable and unwanted unity. "the tree of liberty is watered by the blood of patriots and tyrants" "give me liberty or give me death". Nigeria is an unworkable union that always brings blood bath instead of harmony. No government can successfully and indefinately suppress the will of the people, no not now that the civilized world has decided that self-determination is an inalienable right. We are yet to hear that the British one nigerialist are shooting the Scotish people for wanting to secede, we are yet to hear that the civilized Spanish government are shooting the catalans for wanting to secede from the country. Whosoever that makes democratic solution impossible makes arm conflict inevitable. No one is immunized of bombs and bullets. All we are asking is simple, allow us to conduct a peaceful referendum to determine the fate of Biafrans forcefully living in nigeria anything apart from that is a call for arm conflict. Whichever way nigeria choses nigeria must certainly lose. One thing is certain Biafra must be restored. Unity is not by force, talking of miserable one for that matter. Peaceforall
