BIAFRA: EX President Obasanjo Begs For Dialogue, Says Civil War Not An Option

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has asked Nigerians to understand the need for Nigerians to embrace peace and dialogue instead of beating drums of war. He also said that the nation needs better communication and not to go on another round of civil war.
The former President was reacting to the spate of protests and demonstrations by pro-Biafra agitators in some parts of South-east and Lagos recently, adding that; “Our differences could only be addressed when issues are discussed instead of going to war.”
“We do not need another civil war. We had fought one before. I was part of it.”
“I saw with my eyes. I heard with my ears. I smelled with my nose. What we need is better communication. And I am here to communicate with you.”
He further stated that; “What I enjoy most is the cultural diversity. Earlier in the week, I was in Benue State and I enjoyed the cultural dance. Since I arrived here yesterday I have enjoyed the cultural dances. What we need to address is how to reduce unemployment, how to reduce poverty, and how to hold our leaders accountable to their promises.

  6. I think he said Biafra is dead, with whom then is he planning dialogue with. With the dead people?. He wants to reduce poverty and increase employment. Is he working
? or is he enjoying what he stole from the same people e is proclaiming to want to make rich by reducing poverty. who by the way wants the reduction of poverty. it would have been enough if the suffering and butchering of the Nigerian people is stopped. Poverty can be reduced by individuals if the government ceases to be a burden on all Nigerians.
