BIAFRA: NNAMDI KANU'S STRINGENT BAIL CONDITIONS UNACCEPTABLE

BIAFRA:
NNAMDI KANU'S STRINGENT BAIL CONDITIONS UNACCEPTABLE

26th April 2017

The presiding judge in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra Justice Binta Nyako has been playing to the gallery. Her predecessors resigned from this case due to its perceived sensitivity, but since she took over the case, she has been violating the ethics of the law and justice and has been perverting justice with impunity, yet human right bodies and the country's judicial authorities keep watching helplessly as she continued to rubbish the judicial integrity.

Her bail conditions to the detained leader of Indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is something never witnessed in the Nigeria legal process since the inception of the contraption called Nigeria. Never in the history of Nigeria has such bail conditions been pronounced by any sane judge in any case of the highest criminal implication; a case which has lasted for well over 18 months without any evidence or exhibits or witnesses in support of the charges he is being tried.

Excerpts of the bail conditions read thus...
"...that he (Nnamdi Kanu) must provide three sureties with each of them paying a sum of 100 million Naira, totalling a whopping 300 million Naira. And that he must not grant an interview to any media, and that his travelling passports will not be released to him, and that he must not attend any rally nor attend a gathering with more than 10 people and so on and so forth".

For a judge to grant this kind of harsh and stringent bail conditions to a man that was only asking for his freedom and that of his people is considered a great error of colossal proportion that required the intervention of concerned human right activists and also the attention of the world human right bodies before things get completely out of control.

Biafrans all over the world do hereby outrightly reject this stringent bail conditions granted to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the 25th of April 2017 at the federal high court of Nigeria in Abuja and hereby demand that he should be granted an unconditional bail as ordered by her learned colleague, Justice A.F Ademola of the Federal high court, Abuja.

We are through this article putting the world on notice that it is clear that Justice Binta Nyako has been compromised and is hereby not fit to handle this case anymore.

The world, therefore, must know that the case of Biafra since the genocide of 1967 till date must remain a moral burden on them until justice is given to the Biafran people. The world must also know that there's a limit to what a man can take and as well also know that there's always the two sides to a coin.

Our leader has been held against his wish for close to two years in detention for only exercising his right to freedom of speech and association. As we all know, many terrorists in recent past have been detained in Nigerian prisons and afterwards released unconditionally and reintegrated into the army just because they have wasted people's lives and properties with IEDs and guns, which appears that the only struggle or group the Nigerian government gives maximum attention to is armed struggles or armed group and that is the direction they seemed to be pointing us to.

Biafrans have exhausted all options available in order to get justice peacefully and yet we have been grossly ignored and neglected in a somewhat reckless abandon, therefore leaving us with no other options than to find a way of survival. The world must not blame us for any actions henceforth because we must find a way of surviving from going extinct.

GOD BLESS BIAFRA.

  1. Kanu is intelligent. Kanu is right. The history of the Igbos traces their origin to the Jews. This is irrelevant in the matter except that the judge has something to hide. The judge said she had been thought to use google. Doesn't that ring a bell? If I may ask, how many Jews does she know? Does google have a record of all Jews? By implication, if Kanu brings a Jewish leader that the judge cannot find in google, that leader will not be acceptable to the judge. As far as I am concerned, the judge has ridiculed herself. Consequently, this condition is completely unacceptable. God bless Biafra.

  2. She has exposed her idiosyncrasy to the world, and the dangerous part of it is that she's ignorantly using it to pull The Lion at the tail. Can the zoo stand the whirlwind of the incoming Revolution? No!.

  3. The bail application ruling constitutes a gross violation of Nnamdi Kanu's rights to freedom of expression under section 39(1) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,1999. This horrendous and atrocious injustice against our indefatigable leader,Nnamdi Kanu must not stand. It ought to be resisted by way of appeal to the Court of Apeal if Justice Binta Nyako refuses to vary the stringent bail conditions imposed by her. All hail Biafra.

  4. The bail conditions granted to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by Sharia Judge Binta Nyako is senseless and stupid. The conditions of Kanu's bail is also a grievous insult on the collective intelligence of all Biafrans and judiciary system of Nigeria. In fact, if these conditions are not reversed immediately, Binta must recuse herself from this case. She's not qualified to handle this highly sensitive case. She's a complete disgrace to the civil legal system of Nigeria. I’m very proud of Mazi Kanu for rejecting the bail. I applaud him. He’s a great leader. I also applaud his parents, IPOB, Ohaneze and other human rights group for rejecting this bail. As I said, it's a big insult to all Nigerians. We must not allow this foolishness, impunity, arrogance and ignorance to continue. Self-determination is U.N/International law granting rights of the indigenous people for self-destination, of which Nigeria is a signatory to. Mr. Kanu is correctly and courageously seeking the freedom of his people - Biafra that have been in bondage and captivity in Nigeria since its forced amalgamation with the Islamic republic of Nigeria. Nigeria is a lawless, corrupt and violent country. Sadly, it’s going to take warfare to liberate Biafra from the failed, murderous sharia Islamic republic of Nigeria.
