BIAFRA: WHAT HISTORY HAS THOUGHT US IN FREEDOM FIGHTING

BIAFRA:
WHAT HISTORY HAS THOUGHT US IN FREEDOM FIGHTING

The universe we are living in has experienced different human activities in the past and these activities are not different from what is going on in our world today. The only difference is what I call time of the act. Despite variation in time of the act, all human activities whether it happened hundreds of centuries ago or in the present are still the same.

In freedom fighting, it expected that man must experienced different stages of oppression, suppression and killing if need be by his fellow man. Those who enslaved their fellow men are taken to be powerful while the oppressed are usually considered weak and feeble. One of the attributes of oppressors is their united front in the exploitation of the oppressed, while the oppressed on the other hand is often said to be bereft of unity as a result of the awful experience they have been subjected to.

In order to survive, some of these vulnerable oppressed ones had to work with their oppressors to compromise their quest for freedom.

Different races, groups, people and individuals had at one time or the other arisen and placed a strong demand for their freedom. These various individuals often emerge to take back their destiny with full force, but their sudden emergence is often confronted with mockery by those oppressors and regrettably those of their brethren they were commissioned to free.

For instance, Pharaoh mocked Moses, Goliath mocked David, Jews mocked Yahshua (Jesus). Slave masters and some slaves mocked the slaves that rebelled, the white supremacists and some blacks mocked Martin Luther Jnr. The list is endless. The south Africa apartheid regime and some blacks mocked Nelson Mandela, the Nigerian government and some Biafrans are also mocking Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today, but in the end, the aim of every serious freedom fighters is often achieved.

The mockery from the oppressors and some gullible slaves against the dedicated freedom seekers often had turned to tears on the side of the oppressors and their accomplices. All the characters mentioned above were not just mocked in their quest for freedom, but their followers were deeply penetrated by their oppressors in order to cause an internal rift that will not just destroy their movement, but poses a great distraction to the leaders of the group.

For clarity purpose, I will state below various individuals mentioned above and how they were deeply penetrated by their enemies.

MOSHE (MOSES)

The history of the sojourn of the sons of Jacob, son of Isaac in the land of Egypt is a popular story in the public domain, but that is not the subject of this discourse. The important base of our discourse here is that the people of Israel were oppressed and subjected to slavery in the land of Egypt. From 1446 BC-1406 BC, Moses was at the centre of Israel’s freedom demand.

Both Thutmoses II/Hatshepsut and Thutmoses III were enjoying and profiting from the Hebrew peoples' enslavement. These pharaohs infiltrated the elders of the Hebrews and some gullible Hebrews to oppose Moses, even while leading them in the wilderness. The Torah recorded different distractive events stirred up by the people who are supposedly being liberated.

Popular among these internal distractions Moses met were: (1) Against his leadership; [Numbers chpt 11] (2) Jealousy, Power struggle and Pride, [Numbers 12: 1-15] (3) The rebellion of Korah, Dathan, Abiram and others, [Numbers 16]. These were few records of sabotage and rebellion that Moses faced in his assignment to deliver his people.

It is just very painful that these were coming not from the oppressors, rather from those whose freedom he was seeking. The internal rebellion and sabotage were heavy on Moses that he asked God to relieve him of such an assignment. Even Elohim acknowledge that the people were “stubborn”. What is important here is that despite the external and internal distractions, Moses was focused on the mission which he was called until the end of his assignment.

DAVID

The case of David is like that of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu considering his age and the horrific historic record of his oppressors. David’s confrontation of Goliath was seen as the most stupid life voyage a young man of his age could embark upon when the “elders” were there. Goliath mocked him, his King (Saul) and those he was to set free from Goliath’s oppression spoke ill of him, “I know thy pride and the naughtiness of thine heart” [1 Samuel 17:28]. Like President Buhari, Goliath boasted “I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air and to the beast of the field” [I Samuel 17:44.]

These words never depraved David, but rather increased his focus on his mission to destroy Goliath. Those around him who thought the words of Goliath would discourage David ended up strengthening his resolve to depend on God. His brothers’ discouraging attitude towards him led David into abandoning and downplaying all the conventional ways of fighting battles suggested to him by Saul and his brethren. At the end, David won with just a sling-shot at Goliath's forehead and all were freed.

YAHSHUA (JESUS CHRIST)

The greatest freedom fighter in human history! He weakened the enemies with his love and wisdom. Surprisingly, his group was infiltrated by traitors but he never felt threatened. He came for the total emancipation of the “house of Israel” [Mathew 15:24]. But his own rebelled against him. [John 1:11].

Among his key principal officers were, “thief” (Judas Iscariot) and “unstable man” (Peter), they were used by the external forces to mar his mission. In the case of Judas Iscariot, he tried to turn God's mission into a money making venture by not only trying to rip people off but also went as far as collecting money to sell out Yahshua after which he committed suicide out of deep regret.

Though Yahshua knew of his intentions beforehand and that of peter, but kept quiet, because according to him, his fate has been foretold and sanctioned by his heavenly father. To Judas, he said “that thou doest, do quickly” [John 13:26-27], and to Peter (one of the key principal officers) he said, “before the cock crow, you will deny me three times  ”.

One thing great in the vision and mission of Yahshua is that the internal sabotage only led to the quick actualisation of the set goal. Those who rebelled ended up destroying themselves and generations unborn. It does not matter who is captured by the enemies within and outside, what is important is that the vision leader is focused.

MADIBA (NELSON MANDELLA)

Nelson Mandela remains one of the most celebrated African leaders and freedom fighters. Madiba, as he was fondly called stood against oppression and exclusion of his people in their own land. While the self-imposed leaders were comfortable eating and marrying the Apartheid Masters, Madiba stood by the oppressed and his people.

Some friends, associates and even those he was fighting for backstabbed him. There were so many divide-and-rule antics within ANC that the group became almost hijacked by infiltrators. These activities of moles and infiltrators never weighed down Madiba from his real dream of bringing to a stop, the Apartheid regime in South Africa.

His perseverance and focus in the midst of external and internal sabotage led to the actualization of his dream. Today, the same Britain that endorsed Nelson Mandela’s long incarceration hypocritically joined the group of Nations that sang his dirge. Nelson Mandela's resoluteness and formidability conquered the external and internal sabotages. Today his name is written in gold and highly mentioned by friends and enemies alike.

NNAMDI KANU

Like Moses and Yahshua, Nnamdi Kanu has a wonderful social background that would have afforded him a lifetime of comfort, but he abandoned that to suffer for the sake of his oppressed people. He is a prince who by succeeding sequence will inherit the throne of his father. He is a well-educated and informed man.

If there is anything our century and generation is given to study, that thing is the concept “Nnamdi Kanu”. Like Yahshua, he emphatically stated that “only 100 men is what he needs to restore Biafra”. His demand for the hundred men led to the coming of the good, the bad and the ugly.

In his receptive manner, he brought too close both the good, the bad and the ugly. To the good, he preached resoluteness, to the bad mental reawakening, and the ugly he left as sons of perditions. Since yielding to the call for freedom from the oppressor’s (Buhari), many thoughts has been revealed. This is a divine plan of heaven to show the hypocrisy and double standards of those who claim they loved the people.

His arrest and incarceration have exposed the Korahs, Dathans, Abirams, Judases, Peters etc. That is the way Elohim wants to separate the wheat from the chaff. The display and exit of these fellows from the flesh of God’s anointed is the miracle of the moment. The external and internal sabotages to the struggle will be over, just like others mentioned above.

What is crucial at the moment is that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is focused and resolute. At the end of all these, Biafra will emerge and the same Britain, in her usual manner will still sing praises of the steadfastness of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans. At this moment, what is worth paying attention to is the unadulterated restoration of Biafra.

The resoluteness and doggedness of the Prophet of our time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is unquestionably the ingredient required for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. The prevalence of forces such as the internal sabotage, infiltration by moles, external forces, talking hard of Buhari, the Army, the madness of Eastern Governors, follies of the so-called elders, are just the necessary hurdles to cross, but in the end, Biafra will come.

Long Live Nnamdi Kanu!
Long Live Biafra
