APPEAL COURT UPDATE: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SCAMPERS AWAY FROM THE HEARING TODAY-25TH APRIL, 2016

ABUJA:
APPEAL COURT UPDATE: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SCAMPERS AWAY FROM THE HEARING TODAY-25TH APRIL, 2016

The resumed hearing at the Appeal Court Abuja, filed by the defense counsels against the denial of bail of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu commenced today, Monday, 25th April with the arrival of the Judge, Moore Adumein at 10:03am after a long delay in his chambers.

The defense counsel Chuks Muoma, [San] when called upon by the Judge, said that he came all the way from Aba, Abia State to represent Nnamdi Kanu in the case of his appeal for denial of bail, but the Judge retorted sharply that the appeal proceedings will no longer hold today,  pointing out that this week is a conference week for the judges, and that the case will be heard on Thursday 5th May, 2016.

When Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Kanu's defense counsel came out of the court, he explained further that this week at the appeal would be the hearing of the Senate President Bukola Saraki's corruption case, saying that Thursday 5th May 2016 is the new date for the appeal hearing in Kanu's case. So the Court was adjourned till Thursday next week. Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor granted an interview to the Biafra Writers reporters at the appeal court Abuja. We will be bringing that report to you as soon as possible.

The ICC investigators and prosecutors in Nigeria now can see the amount of injustice that is going on in Nigeria first hand. What a travesty of justice. We implore you to take note of the injustice in the Nigerian judiciary and take appropriate records.
