Biafra: The exclusion of the Southeast from NNPC Board, one among reasons no one should vote in Anambra election

That which is worn by the hand needs no mirror to know its quality. Only an insincere and sub-human creatures like the touts in the guise of governors and Ohanaeze (Igbo socio-cultural group) in the Southeast that would see black and call it white in a bid to protect their political interests. These kleptomaniacs have taken their people as unwise fools who cannot perceive or decipher their usual evil schemes of utilizing them during election periods to hold on to power so as to keep the money flowing into their private purse while their people suffer. These politicians do not fight for collective interests but only their personal interests.

The exclusion of the Southeast people in the composition of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) board justifies the long cry of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), over the obnoxious high rate of marginalization meted on the Biafran people. Where are the likes of Senator Ike Ekweremadu and the opportunist governors in Biafra land? Where went their restructuring calls and articles on social media? These kleptomania citizens only sketch and manufacture all forms of deceit in order to deceive their people and accomplish their personal objectives. In this new age, I think people should instruct themselves and brace up for the truth. A good leader goes where his people go and not the otherwise.

This marginalization of the Biafrans by the Nigerian government is well noted and understood by all even kids. Even the oppressors are aware and have taken it to themselves as a necessary and compulsory thing in life. El-rufai the governor of Kaduna state in the northern Nigeria recently made it open that the Northerners are not equal with the Biafrans and therefore cannot be treated equally. The President of the World Bank, Kim Yong, also confessed how President Buhari asked him to concentrate only in the North and forget about other regions in the country, including the Biafrans.  These and many of similar situations have justified the prominent gospel of the North which says that the Northerners were born to rule while the Biafrans were born to be slaves. Ohanaeze President-General, John Nnia Nwodo, and the Southeast governors should be ashamed of themselves by accepting that they were born to be led as slaves.

On 11th of June, 2017, in Nigeria Vanguard Newspaper, a Yoruba socio-political group, Odua National Coalition (ONAC), in a statement signed by Oluwole Suleiman, Michael Popoola and Mrs Aduke Fadahunsi titled ‘Position of the Yoruba Self-determination Groups on the State of the Nation’, says that the ‘‘Yoruba people this time will not support any attack on self-determination. We shall mobilize the masses and prevent Yoruba people from being used for any attack on the long-suffering indigenous peoples of the Southeast and South-South.’’ Even the Oduduwa people have seen and felt the pain Biafrans have been subjected to. Why then is it that everybody is seeing this evil meted on the people of Biafra except Nnia Nwodo and the Southeast governors? If that is so, then they are squandering the people’s money by themselves while the Federal government acts as their shield. Enough is enough; let no one rule us again.

Biafrans, this Anambra gubernatorial election holds the key to our liberation. This is the final push for our total redemption. A time to remember the sacrifices our leader and our brothers and sisters made with their lives. This is an opportunity to show these leaders that a tree cannot make a forest. Remember that Wills made by the dead are changed by the living. You and I are the chosen generation for this struggle of total revolution and liberation. For the few in Anambra who are against their fatherland, join the majority. Woe betides you if you dare betray your fatherland by going out to vote for the continuation of your people’s suffering and gross marginalization.
