A wise person never jumps into conclusion. He takes his time to gain knowledge of that which is hidden under the pudding as his utmost concern. Whenever he is confronted with incomprehensible issues, he hugs up to facts and historical events as significant tools to ascertain the evil intents of the wicked one. This is because a wise person appreciates the fact that the world he lives in revolves and so does everything in it.
The dumb threat from Arewa Youths ordering Biafrans to vacate their land is the news trending on social media these days. I call it empty threats; because no sense is backing it up. For obvious reasons, let us refer to facts and history so we can discern the plan and the direction these monsters are coming from. This threat has opened our eyes, convinced many Biafrans that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has always been right and has also provided us with the analytical lens to so many issues untouched.
Of all the three nations that make up Nigeria, the Northern region is the only nation that has strongly opposed every effort that has been made, both in the past and present, to restructure Nigeria through resource control, true federalism, and devolution of power. Reason being that a typical northerner knows that they cannot survive on their own. The North (the Fulanis) has been slothful, wasteful and is a boring unimaginative breed of Africans. Hence, they availed themselves as willing tools to sustain modern day slavery in Africa; this is why Britain took the North as her willing tool because they are a people that can be manipulated mostly for the wrong reasons.
This Kaduna Declaration is just another 'Boko Haram and Chibok Girls’ trick peddled to give their slothful and unimaginative nature an unbiased outlook in the world. The North is trying to confuse the world through Kaduna Declaration; they are trying hard to criminalize the right to self-determination both through the constitution, their security operatives and through this kind of quit notice. Their plan is this: a quit notice should be issued through their old men that claimed to be youths, then their elites like Governor El-Rufai (Governor of Kaduna State) will intervene by pretending to condemn it. The end of it all is to ensure Biafrans do not get their freedom without blood shed; it is to instill fear on Biafrans, dissuade IPOB, and incite another genocide against Biafrans.
Who is deceiving who? This same trick was used by the North to relocate the capital from Lagos to Abuja by making the world believe that everything was wrong with Lagos being the capital city of the country. To make the entire scenario look as if there was no ulterior motive hidden under it, they recruited Late Akinola Agula and Tai Solarin (both Southerners/Lagosians) into the panel set up by the northern oligarchy. Another one was when Goodluck Ebele Jonathan won the presidential election, the North fiercely bred Boko Haram to make the country ungovernable for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. This was to tell the world that Biafrans are not capable of ruling the country. From the interview granted by Lawal Keita (the then 2nd Republic Governor of Kaduna State) to the News Magazine in the month of October 2013, he said "Yes, automatically Boko Haram will disappear if the North gets presidency by 2015. I am sure’’. The world should know that all these efforts from the North are mere efforts to retain power in the North because their view is that they are "born to rule Nigeria."
For decades, the world has been made to believe that the biggest unifying factor in Nigeria is football, that might be the view from the uninformed ones. In the real sense, Nigeria is one because of Biafra's crude oil and gas, the life wire of Nigeria's economy. It should be noted that the recession Nigeria is as a result of the activities of freedom fighters called the Niger Delta Avengers, who were blowing up the pipelines in protest of the injustice and pollution the region has suffered. Though Biafrans own the oil, 83% of the oil blocs belongs to the Northern politicians and bigwigs.
How can a northerner ask a Biafran to vacate his land? Which right thinking human will believe the rigidity of such order? It cannot be. To buttress this, it has been an impossible mission for the overrated Nigerian security operatives to arrest these miscreants since that order was issued out. This is to say that, he whom his father sends to steal, breaks the door with his two legs. The north will never buy into the decentralization of power where powers are devolved to the federating states. The north will only be comfortable with Nigeria where true and fiscal federalism must never be mentioned.
The northerners are the canker worm eating up the futures of Africa at large. This is a race that takes Nigeria as their birth right.
I will only say that “Kaduna Declaration” is just a political movement from the North to sustain power. To clarify this, facts will always prove to us that, ignorance, poverty, religious bigotry, fanaticism, and illiteracy are the major tools required to effectively manipulate a people. The northern oligarchy understands this more than every other people in Nigeria and so, they use these on their own people. Their governors and other bigwigs in the North manipulate their own people using these tools to achieve their selfish goals.
To further paint the political arrogance of the northerners, the Parrot Newspaper on October 12, 1960, reported a speech by Sir Ahmadu Bello, the then Sarduana of Sokoto and Premier of Northern Region; he said, “this new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather, Usman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We will use the minorities in the North as willing tools, and the south as conquered territory, never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over the future”. This is the trending ideology in the north. For God’s sake, this is a wicked race even to their own. The same minorities in the North are been used today as youths behind this damnable “Kaduna Declaration” and other tools like Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen.
In the North, political power means control of the country’s economic mainstream -that is petroleum sector. They see their grip over the oil returns as a reward for defeating Biafra (1967-1970).
To this end, IPOB entreats the United Nations and the world at large to mediate on this agitation. IPOB is not asking for so much, all we ask is to get the people's opinion. This can be achieved through a referendum vote, a democratic and the most civilized way to avert an imminent unrest that will visit the Western coast of Africa if this is further delayed.
