Breaking: Chukwuemeka Chimerue, A Biafra Writer And Others Arrested By Enugu SARS Because Of Sit-At-Home Campaign

May 25, 2017

Reliable information reaching BIAFRA WRITERS desk, has it that six (6) Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) in Enugu were unlawfully arrested by the men of SARS at noon of May 25, 2017, while on IPOB SIT-AT-HOME evangelism and sensitization campaign.

These harmless Biafrans were simply arrested for enlightening the masses on the need to observe this year's Biafra Heroes Day coming up on May 30th, 2017, by obeying the 'sit-at-home' order as issued by the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Among others arrested is our very own Biafran journalist, Mazi Chukwuemeka Chimerue, serving under the aegis of BIAFRA WRITERS.

It was further confirmed that the mastermind of the arrest of these brethren is the Chairman of Ogbete Main Market, known as Mr. Temple Ude. The six (6) of them are currently being detained at the Enugu state CID.

We are placing the world on notice about this gross abuse of human right of the Indigenous People of Biafra and requesting their immediate release as those arrested were simply exercising their right to freedom of speech, assembly and expression.

The Nigerian forces have continued to violate the human right of IPOB even when a court of competent jurisdiction in Abuja had declared her a lawful society. However, the Nigerian government and its security forces must understand that no form of intimidation can deter us from reaching our goal.

Once again, we the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB worldwide hereby demand the immediate release of our brothers and the SARS must ensure that they are not harmed in any way, shape or form.
