NIGERIA SENATORS IN DISARRAY OVER CIRCULATING PHONE NUMBERS

BIAFRA Al Nigerians have reportedly lashed out at senators on their telephone numbers, accusing them of poor performance and corruption. This came after the Sahara Reporters leaked at least 109 senators’ telephone phone numbers on line on April 13. The news agency, reportedly asked the senators’ constituents to express their feelings directly to those representing them in the legislature. Criticisms are also trailing a proposed Grazing Bill seeking to establish ranches across the country to stem criminal activities of nomadic Fulani herdsmen. According to Punch , those who laid their hands on the numbers, bombarded their lines with calls and text messages, accusing the lawmakers of poor performance and corruption. The report said that some of the senators engaged their constituents in war of words. Some of the reactions from Nigerians read: However, Ralph Adeniyi, said, “They don’t know their job and (they are) very rude on the phone. I have been calling Senate President Bukola Saraki’s mobile #08024544***. He already (switched) off his phone but I will keep trying.” Portia Emilia Anthony, in a post on her Facebook page, accused former Governor of Abia State, Theodor Orji, who is now representing Abia-Central Senatorial District, of shouting at her on the phone. However, Orji also went to his Facebook page, asking Nigerians to disregard the “campaign of calumny” against him. He posted, “Attention! Please, disregard this campaign of calumny and falsehood manufactured and being shared by one Portia Emilia Anthony, alleging that I am in support of the Grazing Bill. Below are the numbers: Time to call Nigeria House of Assembly Members towards Biafra restoration: remind them about Dr Nnamdi Kanu freedom. KwaraSEN.
