KANU WINS ANOTHER STRIDE TODAY AT ABUJA HIGH COURT

ABUJA:
KANU WINS ANOTHER STRIDE TODAY AT ABUJA HIGH COURT
Nnamdi Kanu

The long awaited 19th day of February 2016 has come at last- the day set aside for the ruling on whether Nnamdi Kanu, the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra should be tried secretly or openly. All eyes are open and all ears are itching to hear the ruling of Justice John Tsoho, the presiding judge on the Treason Felony charge leveled against the Prince of Afara Kingdom, Prince Nnamdi Kanu.
The court started sitting in the absence of the defendant Nnamdi Kanu who later joined the court proceeding. The defense counsel to Nnamdi Kanu Bar. Chuks Muoma (SAN) opposing the motion for a secret trial moved by the prosecution counsel, to the DSS asked if the defendant has already been condemned before trial? The prosecution had earlier pressed for a secret trial for the protection of the witnesses as they are persons from Biafra land whose lives will be endangered if their faces are exposed, urging the judge to allow the witnesses to appear secretly and on masks.  The defense counsel, Chuks Muoma asserted that the reactions on the faces of the witnesses, the twitching of their faces and body movement convey a lot of information and message for the prosecution. After due consideration of the presentations, the judge, Justice John Tsoho described the request as immature on the part of the FG of Nigeria and held that Nnamdi Kanu must be tried in the open court. On the security of the witnesses, the judge stated that Federal Government has enough security to protect the witnesses, arguing that he the judge and the counsels' lives are not of lesser importance than those of the witnesses.

                                Justice John Tsoho

The judge, Justice John Tsoho, in a second ruling on the properties of the second defendant taken from him during his arrest ordered that the properties be return. The properties ceased from the second defendant includes the following... a Mercedes Benz GL450, a Rav-4 jeep and a Toyota Camry salon car. The case was later adjourned to the 7th, 8th,9th, 10th and 11th March, 2016.
The FG of Nigeria has shown that they have no case against Nnamdi Kanu. If up till now the Government of Nigeria is yet to produce an evidence of their charge against Nnamdi Kanu, it goes a long way to prove that all the charges leveled against him are fabricated and no witness to substantiate it.

It will be recalled that it took the Nigeria DSS two months to fabricate the unfounded terrorism charge against Nnamdi Kanu which was blown away at the High court like a chaff in the wind. They are at it again. What a shame that Nigeria government cannot prosecute the innocent Nnamdi Kanu unless they use a secret trial process and fake witnesses. Truth can't be covered no matter how you try. It is a big shame that the government of Nigeria has not yet got any evidence in support of their charge against the leader of Biafrans and Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra Television, four months after he was abducted from his hotel room in Ikeja, Lagos. Nigeria once again has danced naked in the market square and they are still not ashamed.
Today, once again the God of Biafrans, the creator of Heaven and Earth, Chukwuokike-abhiama has vindicated his son who put his faith in him.
