TO WORLD IGBO CONGRESS

TO WORLD IGBO CONGRESS

Chima Onyekachi
(For Family Writers)

I want to thank the World Igbo Congress for listening to Indigenous People of Biafra through our Director Nnamdi Kanu. I also want to let them know that IPOB is not made up of only the people of South-East but also cover the so called South-South or Niger delta, it also includes the Idoma, Igala, Igede and Igbanke people.

It is understandable that the WIC is against bearing of arms against the Nigeria government but they also need to know the acts of intimidation, imprisonment and killing of IPOB members by Buhari's government is on the increase. It is also noteworthy that the WIC has promised to petition the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICJ) please these should be done with all urgency in other for decorum to be accepted by the Nigeria government for peaceful separation of Biafra from Nigeria.

The WIC whom I refer to as "Igbo elites" are mostly learned and accomplished men and women of various fields and professions should know they have a duty to safeguard their place of origin from been overrun by Islamic jihadists. And it is pertinent for them to transfer their quality knowledge and skills to the restoration and development of Biafra.

I want to call on other groups championing the cause of other clans in Biafra on the need to take the bull by the horn and speak out against the injustice been perpetrated by the Nigeria government on our people and it is time for every group to unite as one family for the restoration of Biafra.

  2. This is another gathering of the so called "Igbo elites" in diaspora for no reason just for self aggrandisement. What has these "Igbo elites" done in their various hamlets, clans, villages, communities, LGA's and states. Am not a pessimist but am optimistic that the Republic of Biafra will be actuallized one day. These "Igbo elites should come Back to Biafra land with an agenda and a broadly embraced leadership before their patriots in Biafra will believe they are towing the line as intended by the founding fathers. Wise men say charity begins at home.
