Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Saturday announced his return to the United Kingdom (UK) from Israel where he has taken shelter after the invasion of his hometown by the Nigerian military troops.
Kanu who made the announcement on his Twitter handle, accompanied with a picture of his arrival at the Leeds Bradford Yorkshire’s Airport in UK, urged Biafrans to rise up and unite against the machinations of the Fulani cabals and terrorists in Nigeria, adding that the travails and political witch-hunt of the embattled former Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen should serve as a rallying point for Biafrans’ unity.
“I am back in the UK to continue our excellent work to liberate #Biafra from the pit of darkness, Nigeria.
“Fulani cabal with their Herdsmen, ISIS and Boko Haram must not be allowed to conquer us. Let Justice Onnoghen’s humiliation unite us as one Biafran family.”
Also, a statement by Britain’s foreign ministry suggesting the IPOB leader, who shares both Nigeria and British citizenship, may have returned to UK reads, “We provided assistance to a British man in Israel. Due to our obligations under the Data Protection Act we are unable to go into any more detail.”
