September 14, General Strike: We Make Haste To Insist That Our General Strike Action Must Go On Without Hitches

Chuba Ebenezer | For Biafra Writers

September 13, 2018

There are rumours making round that the Deeper Christian Life Ministry will be holding a crusade, somewhere in the southeast on the 14th September 2018 which incidentally coincides with the September 14th General strike declared by the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB). My opinion is that the proposed gathering of God's people for a crusade will no way affect the total compliance of the sit at home, rather it will enhance the success of it to a large extent.

Some people who might avail themselves of the opportunity to attend the crusade should stay at home through the day, prepare, refresh and then join their brethren at the crusade ground later in the evening. After we might have stayed at home all day, it will be wonderful to also appear in the presence of the Lord with thanksgiving and praises.

My only worry, concern and reservation is on the side of safety of the participants knowing the antecedents of Nigeria soldiers, who takes pride and fulfilment in killing innocent civilians on a very flimsy excuse. Therefore, we urge our people who intended to participate in the crusade to be very security conscious, to avoid any evil befalling them.

We also implore the organisers of the crusade to as a matter of urgency, put measures in place to forestall any of our people being put in harm's way by the enemies of our people...

We make haste to insist that our General Strike action on Friday the 14th Sept must go on without hitches. It's in our collective interest and purpose to remember our heroes and heroines tortured and murdered, their bodies dumped in the forests, some in mass graves, others raw acid was poured upon their bodies to destroy every evidence concerning their gruesome and cruel murder.

That day will not be complete or pass without mentioning the partners in crime Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Southeast governors, some Abuja politicians of Igbo extraction and some traditional rulers, aided and abetted this colossal injustice, human rights abuses, barbarism, savagery and gruesome murder of our people in cold blood. Your compensation and punishment draweth nigh, it will soon catch up with you. For there's an evil day for an evil man.
