Biafra: Biafra Writers Educates S-East Governors, Army On The Meaning Of IPOB

The unguarded and misinformed proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, by the South-East governors and banning of their activities in their respective states has informed the dire need to educate these slavish minded governors of what the acronym "IPOB" really means and what they represent.

Indigenous population in a particular geographical region comprises of people who share same culture, common goals, beliefs, norms and value system which came into existence over time by organic processes that took place over hundreds of thousands of years.

Taking Nigeria as a case study, Nigeria is an unnatural or artificial country with the amalgamation of three major ethnic nationalities and numerous other ethnic groups but with different value system, different cultures and religious beliefs.

Before the 1914 amalgamation by the British, there were the indigenous people of Biafra nation in the Eastern region, while in the West, were the indigenous people of Oduduwa nation and in the North inhabited the indigenous people of Arewa nation. So, all these people have their own ways of life and heterogeneous value systems and religions, but there are still other ethnic groups that exists in the same geographical region where these major ethnic nationalities are located due to their cultural and religious affiliations brought about by nature's organic process.

Therefore, bringing IPOB as the focal point here; IPOB is a NATION and a PEOPLE living in their natural, ancestral and God-given habitat and not a group, organization or social club where people can obtain some kind of registration forms and pay some certain amount of money to belong to, no! This has to do with a whole nation that shares the same value system and culture just like what is obtainable in the present Eastern region of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, it sounds so gibberish and absurd to hear that some group of people just woke up and tag a whole nation and a people, a terrorist and militant group just because they are demanding for something from their government which is a right thing to do in any democratic setting.
Logically, for the Nigerian army to declare that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is a terrorist group is the same as saying that a whole nation and all her people are all terrorists including the Southeastern elites, politicians and governors who blundered recently by proscribing the same indigenous population in the Southeast in which they are part of.
If it is actually possible which I doubt, to pass this proclamation into law, it then means that all the indigenous population in the Eastern Nigeria (with the governors inclusive) are all terrorists and must be treated as one.

It is quite unfortunate that anybody could think that by declaring IPOB a terrorist organization will deter the resolve of the teeming indigenous population from pushing for their freedom and pursuing their inalienable rights to self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations and African Union Charters. IPOB cannot be intimidated or suppressed from pursuing its complete emancipation from subjugation and slavery which was brought upon them during the British colonial conquest of West Africa.

Biafra is a strong and reinforced ideology which is why since 50 years after the civil war, the agitation to regain her sovereignty still rages on even in the face of brutal force and summarily executions of her people by the murderous Nigerian army in collaboration with the Eastern governors.

Bottom line, try to defeat this ideology with logical reasoning and high philosophy and not with armoured tanks and helicopter gunships because it is not going to end or quell the agitation until we have our nation back.

We therefore, urge these governors to retract their steps and renounce their decisions as IPOB as a people or nation cannot be defeated.
