IPOB: U.S GOVT CONFIRMS AMNESTY’S REPORTS AGAINST THE NIGERIAN MILITARY, INCRIMINATES BUHARI.

Monday 05 September, 2016

Thomas Anthony Marino, an attorney and the Chairman subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust law, had on September 1 2016, addressed a two-page letter to the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry; validating the two reports sent by Amnesty International against the Nigerian Military, incriminates Buhari’s anticorruption war and recommends US’ withdrawal of military aid to Nigeria.

Marino, a republican, who is a member of the committee on the Judicious Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs, explicitly described the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, as ‘’the man who led Nigeria as a military DICTATOR and is sliding towards his former autocratic tendencies.’’

Incriminating Buhari, Marino was specific and emphatic when he gave accounts on the different tortures and extra-judicial killings of Biafrans by the Nigerian Military, particularly since President Muhammadu Buhari took office.

Quoting Amnesty International, he wrote, ‘’ in the last six months, Nigeria’s military has unlawfully killed at least 350 people and allowed more than 168 people, including babies and children, to die in military detention.”

On the mass execution of Biafrans conducted by Buhari’s government, he wrote ‘’ The Secretary to the Government of Kaduna State even admitted to burying 347 of those killed in a mass grave. And while President Buhari promised swift condemnation, his words rang empty. Instead of swift reforms, Buhari chose to reinstate Major General Ahmadu Mohammed, who Amnesty International revealed was in charge of the Nigerian military unit that executed more than 640 unarmed, former detainees’’

Particularly on the case of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), the Congressman noted: ‘’ Also, in separate incidents concerning the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Nigerian Army has killed at least 36 – the real number is likely higher – people since December 2015 in an attempt to silence opposition and quell attempts by the group to gather publicly.”

Call to mind, Amnesty International has on two occasions, since June 10 2016, published reports, indicting the Nigerian Military of undeniable tortures and killings against IPOB.

These indictments are not void of victims’ reports, eye witness reports, pictures, video clips and reports from other human right bodies; which make it inevitable for Nigeria to escape Hague’s verdict.

To this end, one is no longer in doubt that Nigeria will sink further if the issues regarding Biafra restoration is not managed as enshrined in the United Nations’ Charter on the rights to self determination.

This persistent generation of Biafrans, under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, despite the ceaseless tortures and killings by the Nigerian Military, are more determined to exercise their inalienable right to self determination; this is gradually dragging Nigeria to her eternal doom.

TRUTH IS ABSOLUTE!
