NIGERIA'S VICTIMIZATION OF BIAFRA AND THEIR RIGHTS. WHY THE HATRED?

Frankly, the Nigerian government has never respected her own constitution or human rights. Neither has democracy been imbibed nor embraced due to the facts that there is no figural act of civility in her government. The Nigerian government has sacrilegiously murdered the rights of humanity and it is committedly against the laws for self-determination of the United Nations of which she is a signatory to.

For reminiscent, since the amalgamation of Nigeria, the evidence are there to prove that the lives of Biafrans have been a prey to Nigerian government. The hatred of the Biafrans by mostly all the Hausas/Fulanis and some Yorubas is overwhelmingly unimaginable and there has never been any force of adhesion among the indigenous nations that formed the entity called Nigeria. Since 1945 till date, the Nigerian government has been incessantly violating all aspects of human rights of the Biafrans and have dispatched lives of the Indigenous People of Biafra who have decided to pursue their inalienable rights as human beings i.e self-determination.

In 1967, Chief Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu ensured that the incessant killings and maimings of Biafrans have to stop peacefully. This made him brokered a peaceful deal with the Nigerian government in Aburi, Ghana. This deal was to secure the rights of his people to exclusively prefer self-determination instead of the unfathomable hatred of the Biafrans by the rest of the Nigerians. However, instead of respecting the accord reached in Aburi, the Nigerian government decided to act otherwise.

Nigeria declared a genocidal war against the peaceful and defenseless Biafrans. The Nigerian government has never been favorable to the Indigenous People of Biafra in any way. History has a way of repeating itself. Bullying and covert abduction and killing of Biafrans are now a trend the government had adopted instead of being civil about the Biafra restoration movement.
One may argue that the killings of innocent and peaceful Biafrans are an attempt to protect the social or civil rights of Nigerians but it is the opposite.

The killing of innocent Biafrans by the Nigerian government is the ramification of the hatred Nigeria has against freedom. It is factual that the pogrom on Biafra up till date is a well-designed means of venomously pouring out their bitterness and hatred against a people (Biafrans) that have survived pogroms in the past and with a tenacious will of attaining more heights regardless of whatever that betides. Is it not glaring for decades that Nigeria is an enemy of freedom?

The oppressive tenets the Nigerian government imposes daily on Biafra should not only be talked about on newspapers and magazines. For the sake of humanity and posterity, we beckon on all the agencies for human rights and social liberties to initiate intervention for the full and unconditional protection of Biafran lives as well as ending these immense tribulations upon Biafrans.
