The Indigenous People of Biafra totally blocking the River Niger bridge

Members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have refused to give up their fight for the actualization of Biafra.

They began a protest yesterday in Nnewi demanding for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra and today, December 1, they have paralysed activities in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra state.

According to report, they are currently at the Onitsha bridgehead protesting, totally blocking the River Niger bridge.

Vehicles coming from Onitsha and Asaba axes are reportedly on stand still also.

Soldiers are said to have placed barricade on the road, disrupting the agitators from crossing the bridge.

Kanu was arrested by operatives of the State Security Services (SSS) on Sunday, October 18, on his arrival into Nigeria from the United Kingdom and he has since been in their custody. His case was scheduled to be held today but it was stalled due to the death of the magistrate’s father
