Biafra land national coordinator of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe who was forcefully kidnapped from his sleeping bed around 2am on 22 July, 2016 has since been in custody of Department of State Service (DSS) in abuja without trial.
Onwudiwe's hearing for bail application as Biafra writers impromptly learnt, came up yesterday court October 7th, 2016 without the notice to his lawyer and IPOB.

Speaking with our legal representative, Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, disclosed that DSS being the prosecutor was no where to be found in court as this has obviously become a trend usually displayed by the security outfit in order to continue to prolong the unjust detention of their victims.
Ejiofor also revealed that the matter was therefore adjourned to 11th or 12th of October, 2016 for further hearing.
