Emerging reports reaching Biafra writers suggest that there is palpable panic in Ogoniland, following an explosion at a Shell facility. According to reports, a trunk line carrying crude oil in the Goi community in the Ogoniland area of Rivers State became engulfed in dark plums of smoke and flames on Monday morning.
The oil facility according to reports is owned by Shell Development Company. However, the cause of the explosion could not be ascertained as at the time of writing this report, but we suspect it could be linked to the freedom fighters under the aegis of the Niger Delta Avengers.
