BIAFRA: JUSTICE BINTA NYAKO UNDER FIRE TO BEND THE RULE OF LAW FOR BUHARI'S SATISFACTION

Wednesday, November 24, 2016

The Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been able to unravel the mystery behind the mischievous and evil practices of President Buhari’s secret police, the DSS, in the past weeks.

Buhari in his obvious illegal interference and meddling of judicial affairs in Nigerian courts, as gathered by our credible source, has been doing everything within his power to ensure that both the case details, proceedings and the judiciary is stifled to achieve his agenda of convicting and jailing the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
This, he hope to achieve by his constant harassment of the trial judge, Justice Hajiya Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court 2 Division, Abuja.

It gathered that President Buhari through his secret Dogs, agents of the Department of State Services, DSS, has been threatening the presiding judge overseeing the case of the IPOB leader, to deny him the bail application filed by his lawyers and to continue detaining him.

Buhari through the DSS had before now, stormed the private residence of Justice Nyako, after she had turned down her invitation to Aso-rock, all in a bid to influence and induce her to carry out his evil scripts in court, just like he conspired with the ousted Justice John Tsoho who had denied Kanu bail and committed several judicial blunders, following the dictates of tyrant Buhari.

Talking about the harassment of the trial judge, Buhari has put her under a tough, tight and stringent condition by swearing to beam his searchlight on the activities of her husband, Murtala Nyako, the former Adamawa state Governor, and possibly convict him of economic crimes if Binta does not abide to his dictates.

And this explained the actions and attitudes of Justice Nyako in the last court proceedings of the IPOB leader on 17th November, 2016, wherein she constantly harassed Kanu’s defense lawyers and also supported the intimidation and harassment meted out on Kanu’s supporters by agents of the DSS who seized phones, cameras and other personal gadgets belonging to Biafran journalists; some of whom were thoroughly beaten in an underground cell for coming to cover Kanu’s court proceedings.
It is sad and regrettable that Justice Binta having knowledge of all this, never raised an objection, condemned or opposed this unwholesome injustice by the DSS

It is a normal routine that pictures, videos and most especially, court proceedings of the IPOB leader must be recorded in each sitting but Justice Nyako banned all of this, ordering that no videos, pictures must be taken, and that private electronic devices of the defendants especially that of their supporters be confiscated to accordance to Buhari’s directives to further perpetuate a possible media blackout and stifling of the press in reporting Kanu’s court proceedings.

That was the reason they carried out an unwholesome attack on IPOB media reporters and supporters who came with their phones, cameras and other electronic devices meant to keep record or capture images of the court proceedings.

It was gathered that the DSS ordered one of the reporters after giving him a terrible beating to write down a statement, saying that he is a terrorist who came to terrorize court audience.
It is obvious that Justice Binta Nyako is gradually sliding to imitate and follow the same unfortunate and disgraceful route Justice Tsoho took when he chose to remain silent and ignore the death threat given to Kanu’s defense counsel, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor by the DSS.

On the other hand, President Buhari must be cautioned to allow the free flow of justice and rule of law in Kanu’s case. If Nnamdi Kanu is guilty as he charged him to be, he should allow the judiciary to determine that and not trying to be the Detainer, Prosecutor and the Judge at the same time. But no matter all the antics being deployed in this case, the innocent must be justified and nobody can succeed trying to cover or stifle the truth by his bare hands because the truth will always reveal itself. Falsehood can never swallow the truth and justified.
