PEDOPHILIA: OUR CHILDREN ARE BEING STOLEN AND RAPED BY THE HAUSA-HAUSA-FULANIS...

25th June, 2016.

Few months ago, the Northern Christians under the umbrella of Northern States Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), raised alarm that more than 1,000 teenage girls in the North have been subjected into forced marriage and converted to another religion against their wish.

The alarm came in the wake of the abduction of Ese Oruru allegedly by one Yinusa in Bayelsa State, who took her to Kano, forcibly converted her to a sex slave "wife" and impregnated her. Ese was rescued following persistent, strong public outcry. Her abductor, Yinusa was also apprehended and ferried to Bayelsa State where he committed the crime to face trial.

The newly elected chairman of Northern CAN, Reverend Yakubu Pam, who raised the alarm at a news conference in Kaduna shortly after the election of new executive members of the association. Yakubu Pam condemned the increasing cases of abduction and forceful marriage of underaged girls in the northern region.

What the public have not known for quite a long time now is that pedophilia has been the bed rock of the Islamic Northern Nigeria. What Yakubu Pam spoke about in his message was simply centered on the number of teenage girls being abducted and forced into marriage in the Northern region only. He made no mention of the fact that thousands of teenage girls are being stolen away from their respective homes in various places of Biafra land, of which the case of Rita Ese Oruru is just one.

There are uncountable cases of teenage girls abductions by the Northerners who compete among their men to have most tender teenage girls for wives. It is a common phenomenon in the entire Northern Nigeria seeing uneducated teenage girls with hijab covering them and their babies at their backs. They do not hesitate to address themselves as wives of either a Governor, Emir, or any other social figure in the North.

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi II sometime ago came to the news headlines when he flared up following criticisms that he was getting married to a teenage girl,

"It is a tradition in Kano that Emirs and Princes in choosing wives consider issues beyond the individual. The family is in every sense a social unit. My predecessor was married to Princesses from Ilorin, Katsina and Sokoto. The relationship between the late Lamido of Adamawa, Aliyu Musdafa, the father of the current Lamido is well known. Lamido Aliyu was the first Emir turbaned after Emir Sanusi I and they remained close until Sanusi’s death.

"My own relationship with the current Lamido dates back to 1981 when he was Ciroma and commissioner for works. By the way, the Lamido and I are not illiterates we know what we are doing and he does have a PhD in Engineering. My own mother was married in Adamawa and lived there for more than two decades and I have eight younger brothers and sisters from there. It is therefore natural that if I choose to marry from another kingdom, Adamawa would be the first choice for me and I am extremely happy to strengthen these long historical bonds.

"The young lady in question gave her free consent and even after the contract, the wedding will not happen for a few years. By then she may be 21. If she freely consents to this, I do not know on what moral grounds anyone has a grouse. She is an adult, she gave her consent, and her education is not being in anyway interrupted. The real issue is that people do not accept cultural difference. And you can see it in the approach to these issues. I am supposed to be urbane and western-educated. Yes, but I am not European. I am a Northern Nigerian Fulani Muslim brought up in a setting exactly like the one my children are being brought up in. If you read this and it improves your understanding of this issue, that is fine. If it does not, just remember it is not your life, it is not your daughter and you are not my wife, therefore it is not your business."

Though it is not any body's business as the Emir would say, yet we live in a society governed by rule of law and orderliness. Should we condone such things just because it is done by an Emir? At least this is one of the many vivid cultural traits that clearly distinguish us and calls for absolute separation from a people with such a moral decadence.

We wish to let the world know that there are countless cases of teenage girls abduction against the Islamic Northerners of which they have not answered. The pending cases of abductions and forceful marriages clearly reported to the Islamic authorities and were down-played, includes that of Ifeoma Nicolas Odugisi, a 14 year old girl from Ebonyi State who was stolen away from her parents in Zaria; Progress Jacob, aged 13, stolen in January 2016, Blessing Gopep, 12 years, stolen at Bauchi Park, Linda Christopher, 16 years, Lucy Ejeh, now 20 years. These are few of the reported cases the Islamic Northerners down-played even when their Sharia Courts gave them order to release and return those stolen girls, they never complied to those orders till date.

We Biafrans have our highly respected traditions and culture especially when it comes to marriage. We don't condone people living with women that are not traditionally married neither do we allow others to take our women without those necessary things done. But the Islamic Northerners have overstepped their boundaries by stealing our girls from their respective homes, and denying them the cultural rights and freedom to happy marriages. This is very wicked of them!

How can the Islamic Northern Nigeria talk of peace when they have been stealing our women secretly in their thousands? How can they talk of unity when they are busy destroying other peoples culture? How can they talk of oneness when they deny other people their rights to freedom and existence? Are these actions the sign of unity, oneness, or harmony? The fact is laid bare that the Islamic Northern Nigeria are not only immoral but are extending their debasement rapidly to conquer Biafra, the same way  Median did to Israel in ancient days.

It certainly won't work for them! Biafra is a moral nation that exercises God's law and can not stoop so low to such immoral acts being practised in the Islamic Northern Nigeria.
